The hotel was conveniently located close to the beach and had helpful staff. The rooms were clean with good views. The pool area was not overcrowded.
The food was below average and often lukewarm. The hotel was located up a steep incline making it difficult to walk back after a long day at the beach.

The staff were very nice and helpful. We stayed in a room on the 7th floor and found it comfortable enough. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels given. The beach and promenade were close enough, less than a 10 minute walk. There was also a supermarket around the corner from the hotel. The price for our week's stay was very reasonable. We would definitely stay there again. We enjoyed our stay!
It was very basic in design ie. furniture, etc. The food was cold most of the time and not always good. Their spa facilities didn't work. The barman was hard to find for a drink. They also need to get more comfortable beds.

Nice recepcionist, good meals, not so far from the sea, pool at hotel. Very good value for money staying in September 2011 with hb.
Carpetets and bath equipment need some refurbishment.

The location of the hotel is ideal, as it is adjacent to the beach along the promenade. This allows guests to easily access the sea and enjoy the variety of reasonably priced food options available. Many sites that offer accommodation are also within close proximity to the hotel.
The food provided at the hotel was consistently awful, as mentioned in one of the reviews. The meals were often poorly cooked, swimming in grease, and tasteless.

Good value for money. Location as described. Some reviews about staff said they are not very friendly, but I did not find this to be the case. I asked for room on high floor and when I checked in I was given key and was invited to look at room and see if it was suitable. Hotel was clean but very worn- Could do with some tlc.
The food.. It is not what we expect in hotels now.Very Spanish. More like 40 years ago , when we started to have foreign holidays.

Overall very pleasant.
The breakfast could have been better, eggs very dry and bacon poor quality. Had to make sure each time that when the toilet was flashed, that the handle went down, if not, water would be wasted for long periods while we were out.

Very good size room, clean bathroom, huge seaview balcony!
Terrible breakfast - not nice to eat i.e. hard, stale croissants and nasty looking cooked breaskfast, and poor quality products. However, fruit and yougurts made up for it.

Marina Sur was a convenient overnight stopover before travelling on. I would not choose it as a holiday hotel base.

The hotel had a great location, very close to the beach and the main area with all the shops and nightlife. The staff were always friendly and helpful, and the rooms were cleaned regularly. Plus, there was a nice pool area which was perfect for relaxing in the sun.
There wasn't a wide variety of options, and what was available was often cold or unappetizing. It was a good job we found some local restaurants nearby, otherwise we would have been really hungry!

Nearish the sea - 10 minutes walk away
Overpriced for what it was. 194 euros for 2 nights. I would have expected luxury but what I got was more like a 1 star or 2 star. It was scruffy and dated - more like a budget hotel. I was unhappy with the facilities and would not stay there again. I have friends who were staying locally and had better facilities and it was cheaper.
