The location was excellent, the hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel by the lake was wonderful, the staff was very helpful and competent, the room was fairly large.
The train ride is no problem: the station is opposite the hotel and trains run very regularly.
The station in Lugano is at the top of the town, it’s pleasant to walk down the winding cobbled streets when you arrive and you can get the funicular back up.
The rooms are spacious and very clean; some have bathrooms with picture windows, so you can do your gazing from the bath!
The room was a bit small, and it was certainly due to the fact we added an extra bed for our son.
Easy to walk into the little town & across to Italy for dinner and the rooms are spacious.
The hotel is right on the lakeside and the views from the balconies (all rooms have them) are breathtaking.
The hotel is on a main road, so there is some traffic noise, but you really don’t notice this in the rooms or on the balconies as all face the lake.
Breakfast can be taken on the small terrace outside the restaurant, overlooking the lake.
We didn’t visit Lugano in the evenings, preferring to eat in the hotel restaurant and found a varied menu with good quality food, including locally caught fish.

You pay a lot more to stay in the centre of Lugano and for relaxation, views and service (staff are very helpful), this hotel can be highly recommended.
In addition prices are very reasonable and staff are very friendly.
