Among the spacious grounds of Solar De Boaventura, surrounded by tree-lined mountains of Boaventura, I found myself transported to a world of rustic charm and serenity. The carefully refurbished hotel building, with its original architectural style, felt like a beautiful time capsule.

Hotel had been tastefully extended but some finishes were not great. Our basin had a leak and the door handle to our room kept falling off.

The location was perfect, right in the center of a beautiful, quiet, and friendly town. Great for walks and close to a bus stop. The rooms were comfortable with a sufficient heater and a large bedroom and bathroom. Super clean with a free breakfast. The communal space was huge and had lots of amenities like couches, a computer, and even a pool table.

Felt like they were family, no complaints.

Wonderful small hotel beautiful grounds and lovely to sit out . Barmaid/waitress very short and we felt a bit rushed. Bar closed at 10.30 as waitress had to serve breakfast in the morning!
