This hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways! the location was fantastic. Being just a few blocks away from a vibrant area with plenty of restaurants and bars was a huge plus. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Furthermore, the rooms were comfortable and had all the basic amenities I needed, including cable TV and free WiFi. Lastly, the complimentary breakfast served each morning was a great way to start the day.

Everything was splendid, no improvements needed.

Hotel Rincón Escandinavo was the best of three hotels/hostels that we used in Quito. Good, quiet location near everything. Good beds, decent breakfast and hot water in the shower (even in the better hotels in Quito hot water might be quite cold in Europian standards).

Well the walls are not that thick and reseptionists might not understand english that well, but in the this pricerange this hotel is a gem.

Very friendly staff, room with a great view of the city and mountains, we stayed 12 days and were quite pleased with our stay. We are trying to learn spanish and can speak a little, but if you have no grasp whatsoever of the spanish language this hotel may be a struggle for you as they speak very little english.

No way to keep a cold drink, ice or fridge, would be our only slight dislike.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, arranging for a taxi for our early morning hike. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and great restaurants nearby. We also loved the secure and free parking for our vehicle. It was a good 'cheap and cheerful' hotel. The deskman was exceptionally helpful, going out of his way to help me on several occasions! The price was more than fair and I loved the free wifi. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind forgoing some luxuries to save some money without saving on service!

Wifi didn't work and staff wouldn't help. Very frustrating because I really needed it. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and white bread. No elevator.
