We had a delightful stay at Parador De. The location was stunning, surrounded by beautiful gardens and with easy access to the nearby beaches. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The highlight of our stay was the excellent evening meal, with a delicious menu and top-quality food. The bar also offered a great selection of drinks and snacks. we highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful getaway.

A large and well-maintained parador in a very small town. Do try the local speciality, ""picatostes," bread soaking in milk and deep fried and sugared. Several bars in the upper town serve them, but the parador breakfast version is lighter and better. They are on the breakfast buffet, and probably available with afternoon chocolate.
The location is remote. The surrounding town has no restaurants to speak of. We went to the seaport of Santona one night for octopus, and we spent our sightseeing day in Santillana del Mar. If we had it to do again, might stay at the parador there (but then we would have missed the picatostes!),

Ideal location to San Pedro church, in the mountain area. Plus, 15 minutes drive from Parque de la Presa.

Location: the hotel was close to Bilbao as well as Santander, the large square adjacent to the Reception and the ferry at Santander or Bilbao. They provided a rich and sensational breakfast with fresh fruits. All the staff was welcoming and very, very nice.
