it met standard - i would still consider staying here again. a convenient property, fairly clean, marvellous location on the lakefront. it has nice and unobtrusive staff and boasts amazing views of lake.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Geranio Au Lac! The location of the hotel was fantastic, just a short walk from the railway station and close to the beautiful lake. Our room had a balcony with an amazing view of the lake, making our mornings truly memorable. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for activities in the area. We also appreciated the free wifi in the room. Despite a few minor drawbacks, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Locarno. we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.

Friendly, helpful staff. Seamless and speedy check in and out. Comprehensive and plentiful breakfast. Great location on lakeside and only 3-4 minutes walkfrom the railway station. Our room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for four.

Clean and charming place, has magnificent views on the lake. The room is new-fashioned, and the staff is amicable. The breakfast is great, I enjoyed it. It has amazing location to see Plaza Grande. My stay was really really nice, nothing too much trouble, will come back.

This hotel offers amazing value for money. The rooms may be small, but they are clean and pleasant, and some even come with a balcony that is as big as the room itself. I was lucky enough to witness a fireworks display from my balcony, giving me a front-row seat to the spectacle. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The location of this hotel is perfect, right by the lake, providing breathtaking views of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountainside. It truly added to the charm of my stay. The basic amenities provided were more than enough for my needs, and the breakfast had a varied choice of items to satisfy my appetite.

Well located hotel just a few metres from the rail station but very quiet.. NIcely furnished and large room with balcony overlooking the Lago Maggiore. Good breakfast choices served by friendly staff, free hire of bikes and free use of internet connected computer.

Price was a little high but comparable to others of similar standards in Switzerland.

Our romantic escape was perfect! We were amazed by its small size. The staff was friendly and helpful with many recommendations for local dining and things to do. The breakfast offered fresh options and was delicious. The location was great, being close to both the beach and the town. The views were breathtaking and it was nice to enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the water. We also enjoyed the complimentary bikes that were provided.

The room was not as clean as we had hoped. We found hair in the shower and on the floor.

We had a terrible time finding it because the sign on this hotel is "Garni Geranio" and NOT "Smarthotel Geranio Au Lac" as Booked.net calls it. There is a nearby hotel with a similar name that added to the confusion... only "du lac" instead of "au lac". If not for the help of a man at the casino, we would not have found it. Also, the room has a safe, but with a key lock, which doesn't really give any piece of mind since you don't know who has access to other keys.

The breakfast spread is satisfying, with a good selection of delicious fresh breads. this hotel really pays attention to detail and ensures a comfortable stay.
