The hotel was clean with extremely friendly and wonderfully friendly staff who provided us with generous breakfasts.

The location here is stunning and incredible, making it easy to visit a castle and cathedral nearby; I often went to My Currywurst for a quick bite.

This place made a great home base for seeing the sights around here. 🏰 Had a blast and the staff at the front desk were super friendly. The room was spacious and bright, plus it had a beautiful view of the castle.

I cannot overstate the good location of this hotel, which is on Heidelberg's Hauptstrasse in die Altstedt (old quarter), and a comfortable walk from die alte Bruecke, the old bridge, and the medieval castle. The tradeoff is that, since the Altstedt is a couple of miles from the Hauptbahnhof, it requires a bus (No. 32) from the station to Universitaet Platz, then a walk of about a quarter mile to the hotel -- no real difficulty, but we usually like to stay close to the station for convenience. Hauptstrasse is an interesting street to walk, mostly a pedestrian zone with a few motor vehicles. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious, with a shower but no tub. Our plan did not include breakfast, so we ate breakfast elsewhere on Hauptstrasse, and thus we cannot comment on the quality of breakfast. As with just about everywhere we stayed in Germany, the staff was extraordinarily helpful, businesslike and friendly, and tolerant of our meager German language skills.

This may be unavoidable owing to the age of the building, which I assume is 400 or 500 years, but the configuration of the room we had was very long and narrow -- a little odd, but not really objectionable. We had difficulty keeping the shower door closed and water off the floor, but this was minor.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the bustling old town, surrounded by charming shops and restaurants - a perfect spot for exploring the city's attractions. It is just a short walk away from many interesting sites and the famous Christmas markets. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent customer service. Additionally, the hotel offers a comfortable bed and some nice touches such as complimentary bottled water.

The lack of air conditioning in the hotel can be a downside, especially during the summer months.

I had a fantastic stay in this hotel in the heart of the city center. Its location couldn't be better, as it is right in the middle of the old city, close to many attractions and the tourist area. Being able to easily explore the surrounding area was definitely a huge plus for me. Additionally, the hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained, adding to my overall positive experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay.

Location was great could not be better. The atmosphere of the hotel was great as well as the Coffee served with breakfast.

The reception was too busy with the restaurant and you had to wait 20 minutes before being able to check in - receiption was not on site and service does not equal that of a 4 star hotel! The mattress where horrible and does not match the price charged. Breakfast buffett was mediocre with offerings not being to the standard of other 4 star hotels. There were no safe in the room and the hair dryer does not have enough power required with the hairstyles of today.
