It's kind of unique hotel. I did stay during the Locarno Film Festival. It's actually also a convalescent home with some elderly nuns around...but very clean and - rooms towards the lake - just gorgeous...but no sex-drugs rock&roll groove, ha. Ha.

Tiny bed in the single room

I chose this hotel just because it was the cheapest available, but still is not very cheap. It has a very nice view because it's up on the mountain (but my room did not have the lake view, so I enjoyed the view during breakfast only). It was clean and comfortable. It's a 15 min walk to downtown, which I really enjoyed but maybe for some it can be annoying.

The decor is not very appealing. The atmosphere lacks charm. The breakfast could have a larger selection, and there were many rotten fruits in it.

The service staff was very helpful. We missed dinner on the first day, but the staff was helpful enough to make Lasagne for us.

It's a lovely hotel with great views over the lake, 10 min walking distance to the city centre and really helpful and friendly staff. Keep in mind that it's a hotel to relax and to be close to the city centre.
