Loved jogging along the Rhine, sipping cocktails on the terrace. The hotel had a fancy Italian country house vibe and great amenities like a sauna and bar. Also, convenient for shopping and exploring the Old Town.

Oh, how I adored the lack of hot breakfast options. It was such a lovely surprise to have no choice but to eat rolls and ham.

Barbarossa met all my expectations during my stay. The hotel's location was perfect, just a short walk away from the beautiful river Rhine. The room, although a bit dated, was clean and tidy with a good view from the first floor. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially during my late check-in. The hotel also had excellent facilities for cyclists like me, with secure parking for my bike. Barbarossa provided a comfortable and quiet stay, making it an ideal choice for travelers.

Comfortable Stay with Great Amenities

Located conveniently on the outskirts of the city, this hotel is easily accessible by car. The hotel is only a short 5-minute walk from the nearest subway station. The complimentary breakfast was very good, providing a combination of traditional continental options along with hot and fresh scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of amenities provided for a cozy and comfortable stay.

Staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was good too. Staff exceptionally helpful and polite.

Unfortunately we did not get the room we had specified in our booking, so this meant that two female colleagues had to share a double bed, and one of us had a very bad head cold and felt uncomfortable sharing a small space. There were no other rooms available. But the staff were pleasant about it.

This hotel has a great location close to the airport and a tram stop that takes you directly downtown. Additionally, the hotel facilities are clean and parking is available. The staff are friendly and always willing to help.

As avid cyclists, my partner and I stayed at Hotel Barbarossa for three nights while exploring the river Rhine on our bikes. The location was ideal, just a short distance from the river and with convenient access to a ferry crossing. The hotel had excellent free parking, which was important for us as we brought our bicycles. We were pleased with the decent-sized, clean and tidy room on the first floor, which offered a lovely view. Despite being near the airport and road, the room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a charming old village, Kaiserswerth, and its picturesque surroundings added to the overall appeal of our experience.
