I had a fantastic stay at a lovely small hostel near the old city centre. The location was ideal, with a short 10-minute walk to the famous bridge of Porto. The breakfast was amazing, with homemade cake, fresh bread, and a variety of delicious options. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable, providing us with all the information we needed about the city and surroundings. The rooms and shared bathrooms were very clean, and it felt like we had the bathroom almost to ourselves. It was a great choice for a small and peaceful family hostel. I highly recommend this hostel for a wonderful stay.

The location of the hostel was perfect, situated near the river and the famous Port Caves. It was great to have so many restaurants and places to visit within walking distance. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hostel had a charming and cozy atmosphere, and the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable.
The size of the room. It was a bit cramped, especially for six people.

I recently stayed at Hostel Gaia in Porto for a week. The location on the other side of the river provided a great view and a less touristy atmosphere. The hostel itself was beautiful, with comfortable facilities that felt more like a mid-range hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, with clean linens and fluffy towels provided. The breakfast was lovely, and the owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The personal level of hospitality was extraordinary, making it feel like staying at their own home. The four terraces of the hostel offered a great view of the city. I would highly recommend a stay at Hostel Gaia Porto for a unique and enjoyable experience.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

We got excellent value for our money at Hostel Gaia Porto. The room was clean and organized, and we even received a welcome cake and a bottle of port wine. The location was great, just a short walk downhill from the General Torres metro stop. The staff treated us like friends, making us feel right at home.
The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

We had an incredible stay in a cozy hostel with fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the best views of the river. The room was clean and well-equipped with an extra electric oven to ensure our comfort. The breakfast was delicious and the facilities were top-notch, including a beautiful roof garden overlooking the city.
There were some issues with the bathroom that could use improvement.

We had a fantastic time staying at Gaia Porto in Vila Nova de Gaia! The host was incredibly friendly and gave us valuable tips about the city, restaurants, and even the best route for a half-day tour. Our Douro suite was stylish and immaculately clean, with comfortable furniture and a relaxing balcony. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options like yogurt, toasts, cheese, ham. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't wait for our next trip back to Porto!
