The stay was great on vacation. It was exceptionally clean with a king size bed.- The location was excellent, just a short walk to Winnipeg and Riding Mountain National Park, as well as the restaurant.

The staff was outstandingly accommodating and the place was quiet. The room was perfectly clean with comfortable beds and the pool was great.- The location is not far from Winnipeg, Riding Mountain National Park, and western Manitoba.- A superb base for exploring Portage la Prairie.

This venue has recently been renovated and boasts a very friendly staff; the convenient location makes it easy to access the nearby lake within a short 15-minute walk.

Enjoyable Experience

We had a surprisingly enjoyable stay at a hotel in Portage La Prairie. Despite the negative reviews we came across, our experience at the Howard Johnson was quite positive. The room we stayed in had been recently renovated, and it was clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well, and we had no issues with noise from neighboring rooms. The hot tub was a nice bonus and added to our relaxation. we found the hotel to be a good value for the price. We would recommend it to others looking for a decent place to stay in Portage La Prairie.

Location was right off highway. Very easy to get to and to get back on the highway in the morning

Breakfast was very minimal and the dining area was huge and impersonal

The staff was friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with any requests we had. The bed in our room was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. Additionally, the room was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant stay overall.

There were some negative aspects to our experience. The cleanliness left much to be desired, with dirty and dried up food found under the bed, making us question the thoroughness of the housekeeping.

The location was convenient. Got a pet-friendly deluxe double room with a king-size bed when arrived.- Enjoyed having an iron, coffee/tea making equipment, and a study table available in the room.

The location of the hotel was convenient for my business trip, as it was situated close to the highway. Additionally, the bed in my room was very comfortable, allowing me to get a good night's sleep after a long day of work. The bathroom also seemed to be fairly new and had a soft close toilet lid, which was a nice touch.

There were a few aspects of the hotel that I didn't quite enjoy. The hallways were outdated and dirty, and there were evident signs of neglect, such as cracked ceilings and cobwebs in the corners.

The location on the highway was a bonus. Beds were comfortable.

The motel was under renovation and the construction went on into the late evening. Back door kept sticking, forcing guests to walk all the way around with their luggage. We requested a main floor room but was assigned one on the second floor. Eventually we got a main floor room.
