I really liked the pool area, it was clean and had a great view of the surrounding forest. The breakfast was decent with local bread and spreads available. , the location was stunning, with very picturesque views over the valley.
I was quite disappointed by the state of the rooms. They were very rustic and felt outdated.

I recently stayed at Casas Cueva Tio Tobas in Guadix for a week-long vacation. The location was like a paradise, with donkeys and cats adding to the charm. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant served excellent food. The caves were cozy and provided relief from the summer heat. There were plenty of activities to do, or you could simply relax by the pool. I can't wait to go back!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

I liked the fact that the accommodation was very different and unlike any other accommodation I've stayed in. Very enjoyable.
It was rather chilly.

The scenery and the town of Guadix
When we arrived at approx 14.15 it was difficult to find someone to let us into our cave. We found our way to the bar/restaurant. The staff there were neither helpful or friendly. We eventually located a nice young lady who brought us to our accomodation. The cave itself altough clean and tidy was very cold that afternoon.. We had our lunch there, nothing to boast about I might add.we then went to Guadix and spent a few hours walking about and shopping. We discovered when we went back to the Cave at about 18.30 that both the bar and restaurant were both closed for the rest of the evening.

We had a wonderful time staying in a unique and cozy cave for two nights. The location was perfect, nestled in a beautiful forest area near the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service, and the breakfast was basic but satisfying. Our cave had comfortable beds and a lovely view, and we enjoyed a refreshing swim in the small but nice pool.
The Wi-Fi connection was somewhat spotty in the cave areas.

Very charming and well equipped cave home, even with a small kitchen. Nice little pool. Squirrels running around out front. :-) Very quiet.
A bit hard to find. Very short hours of reception and restaurant (for example breakfast only 10.00-11.30h). But the staff is very friendly.

Brilliant place!! Excellent value for money- we only paid €23 for 2 people! Lovely apartment and pool. We went to a cute restaurant bar next door called Pena (not on the complex) which was very nice- staffed by a lovely Spanish lady who cooked great Spanish food at a good price. Would definitely recommend it!

The hotel went out of their way to help and make us feel really welcome. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even tolerating our terrible Spanish. It was such a pleasant surprise to find that the cave was very clean and well-maintained, with rustic furniture that added to the charm. The location was also great, allowing us to easily visit Guadix within a 10-15 minute drive.
All was absolutely fine, no complaints here.

The opportunity to stay in a cave house.
The lack of any information in english explaining the booking in procedure. This caused some strain with the staff when first arriving.
