Green Park

Green Park is a peaceful and lush oasis located in the heart of London, adjacent to Buckingham Palace. It is one of the oldest Royal Parks in London, originally established as a hunting ground for King Henry VIII in the 16th century. The park covers 47 acres and is a popular destination for walkers, joggers, and picnickers.

At the north end of Green Park, visitors can find the Canada Gate, which was erected in 1905 to commemorate the Canadian soldiers who died fighting in the Boer War. The park is also home to the Bomber Command Memorial, which was unveiled by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012 to commemorate the more than 55,000 airmen who died during World War II.

One of the highlights of Green Park is its beautiful lake, which is home to a variety of wildlife such as ducks, geese, and swans. Tourists can enjoy a soothing stroll around the lake, take in the scenery, and relax on one of the many benches dotted around the water.
