Saint Joseph's Oratory
Saint Joseph's Oratory, situated on the northwestern slope of Mount Royal in Montreal, Quebec, is a basilica belonging to the Roman Catholic Church. Brother Andre, a humble porter with a great devotion to Saint Joseph, founded it in 1904. It has become one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in North America over the years. One of the tallest church domes in the world, the basilica's striking dome rises 97 meters above the ground. Visitors can also explore the crypt, which contains the tomb of Brother Andre, as well as numerous chapels, gardens, and museums. Saint Joseph's Oratory is a significant religious site and an architectural masterpiece that offers awe-inspiring views of the city.
