Moraine Lake in Lake Louise

Moraine Lake

Moraine Lake is a stunning glacially-fed lake located in Banff National Park near Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. The lake is renowned for its vivid turquoise color, which is caused by light refracting off the surrounding glaciers and rock flour in the water. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and dense forests, making it a breathtaking sight to behold. Visitors can hike along the lake's shoreline, rent a canoe, or simply take in the stunning scenery from one of the many viewpoints. The lake is named after the moraine, or rock debris, that was deposited by the Wenkchemna Glacier, which feeds the lake.
