Nationwide Arena
Nationwide Arena is a multipurpose arena located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It is home to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League and also hosts numerous concerts, sporting events, and shows every year. The arena opened in September 2000 and has a seating capacity of up to 19,500 people. The arena's unique design includes a glass-domed roof, which allows natural light to filter through and offers an incredible view of the Columbus skyline. The arena is also eco-friendly, using geothermal heating and cooling systems and utilizing recycled rainwater for ice making. Visitors can experience a range of events, from professional ice hockey games to live concerts and family-friendly shows. In addition to hosting events, Nationwide Arena is also an anchor for the Arena District, a vibrant entertainment and residential area surrounding the arena. Visitors can explore a variety of restaurants and bars, boutique shops, and parks. Within walking distance of Nationwide Arena is the Columbus Museum of Art, a premier art museum showcasing works from around the world. The Ohio Statehouse, an iconic state capitol building, is also nearby and offers free tours to the public.
