Aquarium of the Pacific is one of Southern California's top tourist attractions. Located in Long Beach, this aquarium is home to more than 12,000 animals from over 100 different species. Opened in 1998, Aquarium of the Pacific has quickly become the fourth most visited aquarium in the United States. The aquarium consists of several different exhibits, including the Southern California/Baja Gallery, the Northern Pacific Gallery, and the Tropical Pacific Gallery. Each exhibit showcases the unique marine life found in those particular regions. Visitors can learn about sharks, jellyfish, sea otters, and other marine life through interactive exhibits and educational presentations. The aquarium also hosts daily feedings where visitors can watch as the animals are fed by trained aquarists.

One of the most interesting exhibits at Aquarium of the Pacific is the Ocean Science Center. Here, visitors can learn about current ocean research and conservation efforts. The aquarium also offers behind-the-scenes tours, allowing visitors to see areas of the aquarium not normally accessible to the public.

The aquarium is open daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. Travelers should also be aware that backpacks, large bags, and outside food and drink are not allowed inside the aquarium.
