Chattanooga, shamed by this, focused efforts to clean up the industrial mess and became a service-oriented city for business. The moves worked and with the turn of 21st century it was ranked as one of the cleanest destinations in America. This change shifted its reputation from grimy image to interesting tourist draw with busy with disco nights and lovely cultural scene during the day.

Attractions include;

- Rock City, located on Lookout Mountain it offers scenic views of the area

- Ruby Falls, a 145 foot waterfall in Lookout Mountain named after the founder's wife, Lambert in 1923
