Coastal Adeje quite differs from the town where apart from cafes you could also get an insight into the history of the town. The major attractions include:
- Strong House, built in 1555 originally as a fort to protect the city from pirates. The house was also the home of Lord de Ponte, Marquis of Adeje. Playing an important economic and political role in the town’s history in the past, the Strong house is definitely worth a visit
- Santa Ursula Church constructed in 1586 in Baroque style. Its rectangular form makes it distinct from the typical Canarian architecture

Apart from the above cultural sights, it is worth visiting Siam Park known as the largest water park in Europe. Another beautiful spot in the area is the Teide National Park which lies 2000m above sea level. You could see an enormous volcanic crater here – some 48km in circumference.
