We loved the warm welcome and South African hospitality at this guesthouse. The cozy fireplaces and well-stocked mini bars in the rooms were a great touch. The property's beautiful gardens and verandahs created a lovely atmosphere. The remote location allowed for breathtaking sunsets and stargazing without any light pollution. The underfloor heating in our room made our stay even more comfortable.
We felt incredibly fortunate to have found this gem of a guesthouse. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and their exceptional service made our stay truly memorable.

Staff and general facilities as well as food were of the best as experienced anywhere. Game drive and driver/guide were exellent and deserve special mention.
I thik that a cooler facility as regards bedding could have been provided in the box as the bedding was not suitable for warm conditions.Consider that a radio/TV facility should have been avilable.

Very cosy and child friendly place. Value for money and the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were excellent.
It takes way too long to get hot water to bath or shower. It takes too long to pay when you leave.

Loved the Woodifields Bar, where I could pretend to be in England. Horse riding and hiking in the national park were exhilarating. The hotel's cleaning routine is impeccable, wiping down everything constantly. Schotia Safaris provided a thrilling game drive and delicious dinner.
Cracked tiles in the bathroom were charming, just like the pink toilet seat. But hey, who needs TV or WiFi in the room anyways?

I always return to this stunning place in Addo. The friendly staff even helped me with sim cards on my first stay. It has everything I need - internet access, free parking, 24-hour reception, pool, restaurant. Perfect for my business trips.

The location of the hotel is breathtaking with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The customer service is impeccable, it’s the small touches like offering a warm towel on arrival that make this hotel special. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful furnishings.
The hotel is quite old, and some areas are showing signs of wear and tear. There are no modern amenities in the rooms, such as USB charging ports, which would have been very convenient.

I had an amazing time at this luxurious hotel nestled high in the mountains near a famous national park. The location was breathtaking, surrounded by nature and offering stunning views. The rooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable, and I especially loved the big bathroom with a view. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable and stress-free. The hotel also provided enhanced services such as a spa, where I could relax and indulge in some pampering. The highlight of my stay was the personalized game drive experience, where the hotel arranged a private BBQ for me and my partner in the park. It was truly unforgettable!
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

The Manor, dating back to 1861, exudes an old-world charm that transports you to a bygone era. The quaint Edwardian Village Cottages are perfect for the discerning guests who appreciate elegance and comfort.
No curtains in the shower room.

Staying here was amazing! The location high in the mountains provided breathtaking views and a peaceful environment. The cleanliness was outstanding, both in the rooms and throughout the hotel facilities. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and was delicious. Nestled in the mountains, our stay was a unique experience. We enjoyed hiking trails and unwinding in the screened shower area. The staff treated us like old friends and the 3-course meals were delicious. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the absence of a TV added to the peaceful ambiance. We woke up to stunning views and had a perfect breakfast before exploring the nearby Addo Elephant Park.
The thin walls meant we heard our neighbors' conversations and the early morning noise disrupted our sleep.
