Zanzibar Serena Inn

Excellent location overlooking the water and before having 10 wonderful days at the zamani kempinski zanzibar.

A beautiful location, really great place and the staff were helpful.

The location is makes this a great vacation spot and the hotel has a private beach about 30 minutes drive away.

It had a balcony, seaviews, bedroom with four poster bed and ample wardrobes, living room and very nice bathroom.

It was a large corner room with windows on 2 sides, a sea view, four poster bed, fab shower, and huge balcony complete with dining table and hammock.

The warm welcome from the staff, service was friendly and efficient, then an additional room for the 3rd bed was neat.

Comfortable modern hotel, the staff was wonderful and the room itself was dominated by the huge wooden framed bed.

I paid $150 a night for Bed/ Breakfast and feel that it was probably worth $129 tops, which is what I always pay at the Stanley in Nairobi which has nicer rooms, but lacks the beautiful view evening the two properties out.

In addition to its regular restaurants, the hotel also has a roof top restaurant with a prix fixe menu (around USD 40) that entitles one to a four course seafood meal.

The service at the breakfast restaurant was attentive and the waiter's always remembered my likes.

Be sure to eat at Monsoon Restaurant - great food and great experience - you sit in the floor on pillows and the atmosphere is wonderful.

The restaurant served food that for lunch was quite creative and very nice, though a bit on the boring side for dinner.

Additionally suite was amazing, the food in the rooftop restaurant was exceptional and dinners were good.

Rooms, service, food and staff all were wonderful.

The Zanzibar Serena has a magnificent location, the service excellent at the Serena throughout our stay and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The time we spent there we got to know the staff very well, who were friendly and the service would put some of the top London hotels to shame.

The seafood terrace restaurant is considered one of the best in Zanzibar and the pool is great.

The pool is also amazing in terms of size, comfort and sea view.

The food here was good, our waiter was a big fan of Norwegian footballers and the pool was very nice.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, not only giving great service and the bathroom was clean and spacious.
