Zanhotel Il Canale Bologna - 博洛尼亚

Great location, lots of good restaurants nearby and the hotel staff were extremely helpful and kind.

The location of the hotel makes it easy to walk anywhere in the center city -- or easy to grab a bus.

Nice location between Central Station and historical center.

A taxi from the airport should be no more than €20.

The Aerobus trip from the airport runs every 15 minutes, typically takes 20-35 minutes and costs EUR5 per person - just pay on the bus.

The room was very spacious and clean (as was its bathroom) with a super kingsize bed.

We were in Room 3 - a huge room with high ceilings very picturesque views of the canal from the bedroom and bathroom.

Inside is a beautifully decorated palace filled with antique furniture and gorgeous bedrooms and bathrooms, more like a 5 star hotel.

Both the sitting room, main room and spacious bathroom had tall double windows with shutters that opened over the canal.

Il Canale is a nice hotel, big rooms, an excellent en suite which was spotlessly clean.

The staff was extremely nice and accomodating and the breakfast was pleasant (though I've rarely found Italian hotel breakfasts to be all that great).

As you exit the hotel and turn right, you are on the main street of Bologna which is full of lovely shops, cafes and there are loads of gorgeous restaurants on every side street.

The location is perfect - right in the midst of the shops, restaurants, cafes and about 15 minutes walk from the station.

We found the staff at the hotel to be very pleasant and helpful and the maid at breakfast was lovely - as was the wide selection of food served in a morning.

Breakfasts were certainly above average, with a good choice of things to eat.

Good location, the hotel reception staff were excellent and the bathroom was large.

I'd stay here again- not a 5* hotel with a pool and view terrace, nor does it have a restaurant or room service.

Didn't even end up staying here, as there was NO parking at all available, and we were really turned off by the entire area.

We had checked the night before about parking, and their website says: "A large parking area is available for guests.
