The hotel restaurant was perfect, excelent food at a very reasonable prices.
Overall, for the price, this hotel can't be considered a bargain by any stretch, and if we ever returned to Lisbon we'd certainly look elsewhere for accommodations.
Didn't eat at all at the hotel, it's hard to justify paying €14 each unless you eat a huge amount.
A well presented hotel in a good location close to the Barrio Alto in Lisbon.
1/ Very convenient location and the Museum also has a nice coffee cafe inside.
It's in a wonderful location in Lisbon, yet when you are in your room or out in the gardens/patio having a meal you feel as though you could be in the middle of nowhere.
The metro station is 2 minutes from the hotel and trams also stop nearby, although Rossio train station is currently closed for refurbishment (so you must go a little farther to catch a train to Sintra or Cascais).
Very nice surroundings, 2/ Cabs are very cheap and especially as the taxi driver didn't know the hotel.
Huge bathroom, comfy bed, and a very nice garden were we had our meals.
Our room was on the street side (all rooms are well above the street level, thanks to those 49 steps) - yes, noisy if you open the windows (especially weekend nights), but very quiet if you close them.
In our room, taking a shower meant that gallons of water were deposited on the floor of the bathroom.
This wouldn't have been a problem but with the windows closed the air conditioning was stuggling to cope with the heat leading to uncomfortable rooms at night.
Comfortable bed and the desserts particularly good - no hysterical frilly presentation of the food at all.
The hotel also had a wonderful restaurant, which serves Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
The breakfasts were very European - We didn't expect an "inspired" breakfast, We expected a typical European breakfast of Fruit or Juice, a cereal and some home made sweet and savory breads.

They saved us a parking space and we left the car and walked or bused it into town.
The climb is not for handicapped and there is no elevator.
