Reviews of Hotel L'Yeuse - Les Collectionneurs

Cameron
The location is magnificent and not far from town centre, the Normandy from Portsmouth to Caen and a better establishment for what in the end cost nearly £250. It has extremely pleasant and well-appointed rooms and a clean pool.

Reasonably large units with an enormous bath and a large bed plus a terrace/balcony, and the staff were incredibly nice. The hotel was in a good and magnificent location, in the restaurant where 3 out of 4 of us all enjoyed part of the meal.

Good home base for exploring Chateaubernard. Well-maintained and nicely decorated place to stay, magnificent views over the valley. Sensational breakfast with a huge variety of excellent foods. Unique, new-fashioned rooms and clean bathrooms. Lovely and stunning location in Chateaubernard next to the riverbank of the Charente as well as a gastronomic restaurant. Also, to a local patisserie...

Lovely room overlooking the garden. Location close to Cognac which is just great, especially the old town. Food was outstanding!! But beware the fixed price dinner if you haven't got an appetite!!! It's just fabulous and consists of many courses!
€19 per head for breakfast was a little extortionate.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were so obliging, and we received a warm welcome upon arrival. The hotel facilities were immaculate, with the spa, steam room, and sauna being delightful. The hotel's location is a great place for relaxation, and it was easy to find transportation to the centre of Cognac from here. We loved the breakfast, and the hotel offered an extensive range of Cognacs that we enjoyed with the sommelier.
Nothing it was perfect.

Very good location, attractive grounds with the terrace overlooking the river. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a very comfortable feel about it. The bedroom we had was most charming, but rather warm at night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cognac.

Very unkind staff!

Located in a small area near a river in the Cognac region, this hotel offers a quiet and beautiful spot to relax. With stunning panoramic views available from the terrace and rooms, guests can enjoy the scenery. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with luxurious bath robes provided. The food offered in what was supposed to be a gastronomic restaurant is innovative and exciting, making use of fresh local produce. Facilities include an outdoor pool and landscaped gardens.
Sadly, there is one negative aspect of the hotel mentioned in a review, which is that the breakfast is very poor value for money, which seems to be a recurring issue.

Beautiful hotel, good location on outskirts of cognac, good size rooms,we were given upgrade because hotel was nearly empty, nice pool but couldnt get into it as gate locked! Lovelly surroundings.
booked this hotel for its restaurant, told it was full but they would book us another gourmet restaurant. On arrival nothing was booked because it was sunday and theirs was in fact closed, think they told us this so we didnt cancel booking.

The room upgrade to a river view was a pleasant surprise. The large bay windows provided a beautiful view and plenty of natural light. the room was spacious with ample storage and a comfortable bed. The staff was also accommodating and friendly throughout our stay.
The selection was limited and there were dead flies in the fruit salads, making it unappetizing. The lack of self-serve drinks was inconvenient as we had to constantly ask for tea, coffee, or orange juice.
