We had to switch rooms due to being put in a room with 2 beds rather than one king and the wind was howling through the windows.

Designed into the hillside the architect may have got the layout slightly upside down as the public rooms did not enjoy any of the views but that said the rooms benefit.

Beautiful setting, the friendly staff and big window in the room.

Very nice rooms and excellent laundry service.

The breakfast was excellent and we had the most fabulous view of the lake from our room.

We ate in the restaurant one night - it was good.

We did not dine but the quality of the meals we did have was good.

A bottle of champagne and chocolate were supposed to be in our room (as per our reservation), but it took three requests to the staff over two days to actually make it happen - missed it for my husband's bday.

The service is impeccable, and the people at the main desk were incredibly helpful and nice.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

The Spa/pool was lovely, and after a day on or around the glaciers, wonderfully hot and relaxing, and the little outdoor bit of the pool is great to float around and look at the lake.

Great views over the lake and a good spa facility with pool.

I loved the Spa to relax after the Trekking.

To start with the positives, the rooms are clean, comfortable and big enough.

The new room was clean but needed some caulking and detail work.
