Wyndham Tremont House Hotel Galveston - 加尔维斯敦

A very good location for the historic quarter of Galveston, the hotel is conveniently located in the Historical district and the rooms are so nice.

We loved the decor, the staff and the location (one block off the Strand).

The only downside to this location is if you're interested in going to Galveston beaches, which are kind of nasty anyway (that's a different kind of trip.

It is so nice to have your car accessible; pack a cooler with drinks and sandwiches (Subway in Crystal Beach), and you're set for the day!

It has 15 foot ceilings, crisp white linens, beautiful hardwood floors, and wonderful architecture.

Our room (suite) was gorgeous with a large bathroom and towel warmers, robes and slippers.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the rooms were decorated so beautifully!

Our large luxurious room had 16 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, comfortable beds and a small but spotless bathroom.

My wife and I were assigned Room 302 which had high ceilings and was beautifully appointed with fine furniture and high quality draperies and bed linens and a LARGE king bed.

Breakfast in the hotel dining room was excellent, the staff was really helpful and the bed linens were really comfy.

We ate breakfast and dinner in the only restaurant, the Merchant Prince and had good food at reasonable prices.

Their restaurant and bar serve wonderful food, and though the bar closes early, 21, a martini bar, is just around the corner at the intersection of 21st and Postoffice St.

We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant both mornings.

We only ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was good.

Next issue came up during a room service order that we were forced to make because the restaurant only serves breakfast on Sunday and we wanted lunch.

The staff was very friendly through our whole stay, the service was amazing from the front desk and the rooms were very large and comfortable.

Hotel was quiet, prices were great and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Other than the guest rooms, the facilities weren't particularly impressive - no pool, no fitness center, average-looking lobby, etc.

There was no pool in the hotel, however, we could have used the pool at their sister hotel, The Hotel Galvez, however you had to take a shuttle bus to get to it, it was too far to walk to.

And it was also nice because we could hear the piano in the lobby so it made for a nice romantic atmosphere.

Loved the idea of free wireless, a comfortable mattress and heated towel racks.

They charge $10 per day per computer for a very slow wi-fi connection.

The room was beautiful and clean, nice and cozy.

Overall, the experience was great: the staff was acommodating and were able to provide some good recommendations, the rooms were clean and well-furnished, and the rates were not bad at all (for hurricane season).
