  One thing should be clear, it's an airport hotel so by definition, you might get the occaisional airplane coming over. The location is good, the broadband connection good, mini-bar in working order and a bar that serve's past midnight. This hotel is in good shape, offers services that travelers want and need, and is well priced.

  Well, the shuttle bus starts running then and luckily enough, I got on the 7AM to Philly.

  On arrival, the first room that I was assigned to had not been cleaned. The second room, while clean, had its own issues. On the positive side, the room had a nice chair and bedding.

  The hotel sits right next to a flight path near the airport and the windows did a poor job in keeping the sound out. The bath tub did not drain very well when taking a shower, some lights did not work properly and the cooling system had issues.

  We stayed here the night befoe a 6:40AM flight from O'Hare, and had absolutely no issues or problems with the hotel or staff. Check-in was smooth, room & beds comfortable, parking for 9 days right next to hotel, and the shuttle to O'Hare was 100% on time. On return, we were a bit unsure about the pick-up point at O'Hare, but shuttle arrived 15 minutes after we called.

  Shuttle to the airport was fine, however, we did have a problem on the way back in.

  The pick up point is a bit tricky to find and even tho we called, we still had to wait too long for the shuttle. If they can take care of the shuttle problem, I would rate this hotel higher.

  NO air conditioning, my room was sweltering. One of the elevators to my room was out of service. The staff at the front desk were horribly rude and terribly trained. This one short blond girl did nothing but stare into her computer screen and would not acknowledge anyone's presence.

  After reading the posted reviews, I was concerned about my pending reservation. I was pleasantly surprised to find free parking, an upgraded room (junior suite) that was well above the average hotel room, especially for the price.

  The lobby is beautiful, but that is where it stops.

  Balcony was full of bird feces, pool was so cloudy you couldn't see through the water. Offered a terrible breakfast buffet for $15 a person, with warm milk. CHARGES $14/DAY PARKING FEE AND DOES NOT LET YOU KNOW THAT AT TIME OF RESERVATION!

  The desk clerk we had upon check-in was friendly and not at all like the previous reviews stated. The only issue I had upon check-in was the parking fee. The website does not state you have to pay for parking, however, $14. The rooms could use a little updating however we had no issues with the bathroom or beds. Since it was October we opted to use the indoor pool.

  We were attracted to the Wyndham for their shuttle service which was prompt and friendly. The brochure in the room says that it's $12 a night, but when we checked out it grew to $14. If it weren't for the wonderful time we had at the convention and the friendliness of the people of Chicago I think this trip would have been a big disappointment.

  I wish I could say the same about the front desk staff, which, as another reviewer noted, seemed annoyed with any questions that I had. My major beef with them is the parking fee. I understand that they charge for parking because of the proximity to the O'hare, but this is something I should have been made aware of from the start. The desk staff didn't mention it at all during check-in (and they knew I was driving).

  After three trips between my third-floor room and the front desk, I found out that they *did* have the other box behind the desk the whole time -- they just refused to look very hard for it. However, it should be noted that turning both faucet handles on the sink to the wide-open position resulted in a mere trickle of water. I asked if the hotel offered the guests shipping services through either FedEx Ground or UPS -- a service for which I would have gladly paid. I was told that the hotel did offer such a service. If I just fill out *that* form,” I finished his sentence for him, “I’ll pay much times more than I would shipping via ground services. He picked up the phone and asked security to page shipping. There had been no phone call between my question and his answer — nor was there a conversation with a co-worker.
