Woodlands Park Hotel Cobham - Cobham

Good location for discovering the area and beautiful old country house in a quiet setting.

Quiet and comfortable in a good location, i loved the design of the hotel.

Relaxed location in countryside and we just needed a base for a few days for visiting a few local places.

The location is very remote and you would definitely need a car.

The room had a double bed and a 40" ( I think) LCD TV mounted on the wall.

The room had speakers in the ceiling of both the bedroom and bathroom.

My bedroom was small enough for the double bed to be pushed up against a wall.

The bathroom was nice and roomy and had brighter lights, the bath was long and deep, and there was lots of room.

The staff were very friendly and the room service was excellent; we were able to have cooked breakfast in bed and even dinner!

The menu for the other restaurant had roast duck breast, chicken kiev etc and I wish we had just opted for the simpler meal and eaten there.

We had two excellent meals in the Brasserie restaurant.

We had dinner in the Oak Room restaurant on the Saturday night which was amazing - great food and really good service.

The barman was totally inept, the dining room staff in the main restaurant were not up to standard but the staff in the bistro, who were trainees, outshone their seniors.

We ate in the Oak Room and despite not being a cheap meal, the food was exquisite.

We had a pleasant stay, staff were all very courteous and helpful, the bistro food was good adn service fair.

We booked friday morning with ease and at a good price, arrived to a very warm reception both in terms of staff and the blazing log fire in the reception.

The hotel reception is a gorgeous, old-english room with lovely decor and great, friendly service, not rude and patronising like some had said here.

But what we liked most was the quality of the service - every member of staff treated us like the most important people on earth from the moment we arrived until we left, and nothing was too much trouble.

The dining/lobby facilities give the impression of stepping back in time.

Housekeeping left a lot to be desired with our tea and coffee facilities always being forgotten.

Upon entering the hotel, one is immediately taken by the Tudor style lobby complete with high ceilings and enough mouldings to make you go 'aahh'.

Our Executive room, whilst not the most expensive and not huge, was spotless, fantastically presented and the mod-cons were a nice treat.
