The other qualm I had was the price - £75 for one night in a bog standard double room seemed way too steep for this class of hotel, but then again the whole place seemed to built on the prioritisation of income over service and quality.
Nice view over the golf course and lovely location top quality food.

The location was good for the NEC, the cleanliness of the hotel was superb and the staff were very helpful.
Im guessing the rooms were single as the beds were only what I would call a 3/4 bed, but the facilities were clean & thats whats important.
Furthermore a Good Bed to Sleep on and the swimming pool is excellent.
Both my room and the en-suite were immaculately clean.
My colleagues room however, had no real window other than that of a sky light and was very boxed in, but again it was clean which is important.
The bedrooms are to a high standard and food in the Restruant is very good.
The breakfasts were excellent and we dined and drank most nights in the Cellar bar which had a great, lively atmosphere and nice, friendly staff.
I also had a couple of meals in the downstairs bar/pub area, where the food was very average, but reasonably priced and exactly what you'd expect from a pub.
The food is phenomenal except the restaurant could be improved but its great views make up for that.
We had breakfast at the hotel in the morning at 9am, and we were the only ones in the eating area which I found strange.
The breakfast was served in a large conservatory dining room with magnificent views over the golf course and valley.
The reception area was clean tidy the receptionist was helpful too, the facilites at the hotel were good and the service provided was excellent.
Upon arrival it looked nice from the outside, the reception area was clean & tidy & the receptionist was helpful too.
The service in this part of the hotel is also more like you'd expect from disinterested pub staff and quite different from the rest of the place.
Was lovely to sit out on patio area overlooking the golf course, food was of an excellent quality and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating.
The fertilities are amazing with a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, fully equipped gym, spa and beauty salon.
Leisure facilities (pool and gym) are very nice, and the support given for business meetings was excellent.
Pool is very nice the temperature is a bit erratic.
Overrall the hotel was nice, the staff were very attentive and the en-suite were immaculately clean.
