Winchester Mansions Hotel Cape Town - 开普顿

On our arrival we were shown to our "room", which turned out to be the magnificent Harvey Suite, consisting of a fantastic seaview, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a guest toilet, a foyer, living/dining room (dining table seating 6 people) and kitchen.

We had a fabulous suite -- two bedrooms, a sitting room, ocean view and beautiful bath -- so we had lots of room to spread out and make ourselves comfortable.

The 2nd bedroom on the other side of the lounge has twin beds and a charming en- suite bathroom.

We had a beautiful suite with a sea view, our bed was turned down every night with chocolates left and the tv book opened on the right page!

We were upgraded to adjoining suites on arrival which was a large room with separate bathroom and a shared living area which had a couple of chairs and tv.

The restaurants bar also serves food although it is from a limited menu.

Restaurant was very good room magnificent and the breakfast was excellent.

The bar downstairs was great for watching rugby, breakfast the next day was very pleasant and dinner was wonderful.

But all in all, that was not a big enough drawback for us to change rooms and we liked being a quick flight up the stairs from the lobby and bar/restaurant.

I also ran into a friend from the States in the bar there -- small world story, but he had lived in Cape Town and still does business there -- and he told me that the locals like the Winchester's ocean front bar and also the restaurant.

The hotel was comfortable and the front desk staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.

An absolutely charming hotel, caring Staff and the concierge team were great.

The absolute best thing about the hotel was the service -- the staff was efficient, professional and friendly.

The swimming pool is lovely and clean and we spent a few days just lazing by the pool, the men went diving with the Great Whites and said it was a MUST, they were lucky to see 7 Great Whites in the time they were out.

The Winchester also has a free shuttle to the waterfront.

I also booked the signature massage at Gingko spa.

The whole hotel was spotless, the staff were very friendly and the room was large.

The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was good.

Our room was spotless and breakfast was great.

The staff was just superb and bathroom was also clean.

Furthermore the bathroom clean and bar well equipped.
