Westward Look Resort Tucson - 土桑

Overall, I would stay there again because the location is good, away from the crowds and very close to shopping, the main highways, shopping mall and restaurants and a nice clean, quiet and relaxing place to stay.

The excitement of traveling comes with experiencing new places and being open to everything a location has to offer.

The hotel is otherwise beautiful and in a great location.

The resort is a 25 minutes (25 USD taxi ride) away from downtown Tucson and 45 minutes from the airport.

Airport is a 45 minute drive straight South.

It was a first floor suite - king size bed with a great mattress, sitting area with a couch & chair and large 2 room bathroom.

The rooms are poorly lit, so once the sun goes down, don't plan to read because there is little adequate lighting and don't plan to "click" the TV from bed because the remote doesn't work from where the beds are.

The positives included a HUGE room that was clean and satisfactorily appointed, comfortable beds rivaling the Westin “dream bed”.

I booked on hotwire for $80/night, and was booked into one of their regular rooms, but I asked nicely at the front desk and was upgraded to a "suite" room (most of the rooms at the property are suites) in building 35.

The room was in need of renovation, the bed way too soft and not comfortable, the air conditioner was too noisy, the shower hot water was either too hot or we couldn't control the temperature, etc.

We ate at the resort restaurant for most breakfasts and for one dinner -- it was pleasant enough and, while there are better restaurants in the immediate area, staying on the site had its charms.

We ate dinner at The Grill and breakfast at the Gold Room and thought both restaurants had good food.

We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast, lunch (surprisingly good value) and dinner (expensive but good).

The next night we ate in the casual restaurant and it was pretty awful; however the Gold Room breakfasts were also excellent.

I did not use either of the restaurants: the Gold Room or the Lookout Bar and Grill but they looked like they had some tasty selections.

The restaurant personnel were distracted and brusque, as were the front desk staff, but you can add incompetent to the front desk employees—they actually lost a package I had dropped off to be shipped.

We have found the hotel staff to always be helpful and their service to provide anything that is needed.

Front Desk staff was helpful and the shower hot water was either too hot or we couldn't control the temperature.

Also the price was perfect during the time we were there and the front desk staff was as helpful as one could be.

We love so many things about this resort--the nature trails, the grounds, pools, fitness center, lobby, fireplace room, Gold Room and the spa.

We liked the pool that was away from the main lobby and bar.

I think the people who have posted here complaining about the quality of the rooms, must have stayed in the 'Posada' type rooms near the lobby and pool.

The hotel property is beautiful, the entire staff is just wonderful and bathrooms are large and clean.

The room was clean and breakfast was well presented.

Rooms were clean, the sports bar was fine and the mattress was extremely comfortable.

Would have been nice to have the room clean by at least 2.

I found both of ours to be very clean- (we had connecting suites for our children.
