Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort

The location is great because it is right off of the main strip in Gatlinburg.

The grounds are pretty and very mountain/rustic, the staff was very nice, and the location is hard to beat if you are going for the National Park.

Overall: Given the great amenities and location, I would stay here again if going to the Gatlinburg area.

The grocery store had a gas station and a liquor store right by it.

Also trolley buses, with fares of just 50 cents or one dollar, serve Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

The 2-bedroom unit we stayed in had a gas fireplace, two large bathrooms (it was a lock-out unit), two large bedrooms (the second had a pull-out queen bed sofa) and a large kitchen area.

The master bedroom had a king-sized bed and a large tub (and shower) with jets.

We had a King size bed in a separate bedroom the bathroom was tied together with the full kitchen and leather sofa bed.

Extremely small kitchen, bath and bed all in one room.

It was like a cave, one little window when you enter the room then you’re in this LITTLE slanted roof, cave-like structure that has an uncomfortable sofa bed jammed right next to the queen size bed!

The restaurant bar is beer only, no full service.

We went to the local grocery store and bought alot of our breakfast and lunch items to keep in the room which saved us alot of cash as it was not cheap to eat in Gatlinburg.

On site there, there is a good and reasonably-priced restaurant and a short drive (or trolley trip) away are the towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for an array of other restaurants, theatres and attractions for all the family.

There is no restaurant on the premises (there is a very small general store), so all the meals were eaten outside, which gets expensive.

We did not visit the water park or restaurant because we were only there 2 nights.

There was always friendly staff that were willing to offer their services if needed.

We also found the service to be excellent when we made a request to the staff.

The front desk, maintenance and all staff were excellent (anyhow people from Tennessee seem to be a lot friendlier than here in Miami Florida) the rooms were clean, and nice.

Dust from construction, but the playground, pool, and parking were great.

At night the boys had to walk in the cold air after being in the outside pool.

I could hear housekeeping bumping around and vacuuming the unit above us around 9 AM.

Heck wi-fi is FREE at Denny's and McDonalds in town) There was construction going on ABOUT 500 feet away from our unit until I begged them to stop at 1:30 AM.

Everything was spotless; kitchen was fully stocked; bathroom was very clean.

Bathroom was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the pools were heated and nice.

The rooms were very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful.

The service was great and the room was clean.
