The Waipouli Beach Resort is a beachfront condo complex located on the East Side of Kauai between Lihue and Kapaa, just 15 minutes from the Lihue airport. Waipouli Beach Resort has expansive oceanfront grounds that are lushly landscaped with beautiful gardens, waterfall features, twin waterslides, 3 Jacuzzis and current driven pool. Kauai Shopping Village is right across the street and the Coconut Marketplace is just up the road, with restaurants, and over 60 specialty shops. In either shopping areas you will find boutiques, fine dining spots, small eateries, authentic Hawaiian shops, jewelry stores, art galleries, healing and wellness centers, grocery stores, and pharmacies. Check-in is after 3pm and check-out is at 10am. You will be obtaining your two key cards and registration form from the front desk. Present your reservation letter to the front desk as proof your being a guest at the resort. They will then hand you a parking pass. Guest must be 18 to check-in. Kapaa is just north of Wailua. Expect to find a very local ambiance here amongst the coconut palms, if you are after a break from resort life this is a good place to start. Outside Kapaa are open and quiet beaches if you are into beach strolling away from the stress of the city.

      The hotel is somewhat overpriced considering the poor location.

      She now expects all hotel/resorts to be as nice as this one, and seriously it's going to either cost me a fortune or disappoint her every trip we take.

      There are lots of amenities nearby that make the location convenient.

      The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the airport but not to close, on the east side which was in the middle of the North and South side of the island making it easy to get to either end for other activities.

      It was in a good location in between the north and west areas.

      And Kapaa is very centrally located within the Island, like 15 minutes away from the airport.

      We felt it was the perfect place to stay, 10 minutes from the airport and half way between everything else.

      Bedrooms had flat-screen TVs, nice furniture, bathrooms were spacious (we had 2-1/2 baths) and included tub in one.

      We did utilize the sofa bed in the living room and it would have been nice to have blackout curtains on the living room windows as the morning sun awoke those in the living room early.

      We stayed at this condo for a week in a 1 bedroom/ 2 bath partial oceanview room.

      We stayed in a 2Bed/3Bath oceanfront on the 4th floor.

      The bedrooms where large with comfortable beds and adjoining bathrooms.

      We stocked up on breakfast and lunch items which made it easy for all of us; we weren’t dependent on restaurant’s availability.

      The first night we ate in the ocean side restaurant/ bar.

      Food service is lunch and dinner, burgers and sandwiches, and a full bar.

      The ocean front restaurant had good food, the service was slow to take your order but prompt after that.

      Loved the Tahitian Bar-location, food, prices and the incredible staff.

      Aside from the daily maid service included in the rate, I can't say we were treated with stellar service by any means.

      Had a bad experience with one of the front desk employees (Jay).

      Doesn't have a resort feel at all - lacking in customer service (no bell hops, rude employees, LIMITED on-site dining options, spa looked like an ordinary hair salon).

      All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

      2) the Aveda Salon & Spa was boarded-up at west end of the lobby; I was told by an on-site Outrigger rep.

      Grounds included nice walking area by beach, nice pool, koi pond, free parking, free wifi.

      While the Outrigger WBR is definitely a nice facility, it doesn't warrant the Resort and Spa notation - it is basically a condo/timeshare facility with a great pool and a beach bar.

      Rooms, were clean, full kitchens, and well equipped.

        Peaceful island, good restaurants nearby in Kapaa and the fully fenced "lazy river" salt-water pool area was Great. The hotel was perfect and lobby was nice. Staff was kind and friendly, the owner was always very prompt in responding to my questions, every room had awesome vies.

        The ocean front restaurant had good food, the central location was great in cutting down on travel time to the north and the decor was nice. Staff was very helpful, the owner-owned condo was beautiful and at check-in they were very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had appliances that were magnificent.

        The Safeway across the street was very convenient, the pool area was very nice and the location of the hotel was perfect. Service was great and the concierge was very helpful. The rooms were beautiful, the bar had happy hour specials each day and the food was good. The Aveda spa was excellent.

        The beach is very quiet and scenic, the location in Kapaa is perfect for groceries, a great place to meet fellow travellers. The staff could not have been more pleasant and also the shower water didn't get very warm. Spa is beautiful.

        5) Semi private beach - not the calmest water and great views. Very nice place and as has good prices on souviniers. The decorations beautiful and the staff were very friendly.

        Beautiful island and good location. The hotel room was nice, the staff was always pleasant and bathrooms were spacious. The jacuzzi was very hot, one employee was exceptional at the towel check out she was friendly and the drinks were all delicious. The pool was amazing.

        The beach was really nice and the location was ideal for us. Moreover so this place was perfect for us and the staff at the Tahitian Lanai did an amazing job catering our wedding. The rooms were really beautiful, the pool snack bar was great and the food was good.

        A convenient pool/beach side bar and the location is pretty central for Kauai. She now expects all hotel/resorts to be as nice as this one, the accommodations at the Outrigger are excellent and the facilities are awesome.

        A warm river pool and gorgeous views. Additionally loved having a high quality washer and reasonable price. Polite staff catered to our every whim and the best owner ever. Large bedrooms and the in-unit washer/dryer was great for drying swimsuits.

        5 days on the big island at the sheraton Waikoloa, a fairly nice pool area and this a a great place for families or adults. The staff was extremely friendly, the kitchen in the room was perfect and the food was delicious. The resorts facilities were very good.
