    Overall, the hotel is wonderful for the price paid!

    At $84/night, the hotel represents a nice value in the heart of central Cozumel.

    If you want to go to Cozumel and stay at a clean hotel with a great staff at a fair price then Vista Del Mar is just your place.

    I consider this hotel an excellent value and my stay (4 nights) was very pleasant.

    Great location if you want to stroll the Boulevard for souvenirs.

    The location is great and the service was good as well.

    This hotel is in an excellent location to everything.

    I was staying there for a quick 4 days of diving (Dive With Martin - excellent operator) and the hotel served my purpose being right downtown, easy no-car access to everything, just took taxi's to the pier for my diving.

    Big savings on hotels further south of town on taxi expenses also makes this hotel an excellent choice.

    Our room was really a suite, the main room had a king size bed, and the other room had a full size.

    The room was charming, the bed comfortable, and the service was great.

    The rooms at Vista del Mar are very comfortable, including the beds, bathroom, and especially the chair inside with some sort of nylon netting.

    Our room had a king-sized bed, and a double bed for my son in a semi-private area.

    In the bathroom, the toilet was leaking water out from the back part like crazy.

    I did wander over to the Casa Mexicana, and Alfredo the manager there showed me a room and the pool/bar and breakfast area and I think, next time, even for a few dollars more I’d rather stay there.

    At night we went to Kelley's restaurant and bar for great cheap eats and drinks, and nice comraderie.

    Not much there but a little beach bar (with GREAT food) and a place to rent snorkeling gear if you don't have your own.

    Breakfast consisting of Mexican sweet rolls, juice and coffee is delivered every morning at approximately the time requested.

    And the breakfast of juice, sweet rolls, and coffee was amazing.

    TV, quick & timely morning in-the- room breakfast service and attentive hotel management and staff personnel.

    Check in was simple and the front desk staff wonderful.

    Maid service every day, plenty of towels, sheets were clean.

    There is a small spa pool (cool water, not a hot tub per se), but there aren't any sunbeds.

    My favorite part of the hotel was the little pool perched over the market.

    There was even a safe parking to our rental scooter.

    There is wireless internet on the property and the hotel is steps from about anything you would like to do.

    We went diving each morning and returned to find our room spotless every day.

    The rooms were quite nice and very clean.

    Finally my husband went and told the gentleman at the desk in the morning, who said he would have it serviced and let us use the bathroom in the office (not as clean, not warm, but at least you could clean up).

    The room was neat and clean but with obvious wear and tear.

    Two pools and ocean views, the extra large and very clean rooms make up for the lack of a beach.

      Great location if you want to stroll the Boulevard for souvenirs. The ocean view room did get a little street noise but nothing a pair of foam earplugs couldn't block out. Our room had two queen beds which was great for a family of four. I consider this hotel an excellent value and my stay (4 nights) was very pleasant.

      We got an oceanfront room and loved the balcony where you can check out the street and the cruise boats. We loved our ocean front room!

      Linda was great answering all my questions and reservation via email. My wife and I have stayed in villas and hotels from one room to massive resorts and I can honestly say we have never had the service we had here.

      The rooms were quite nice and very clean. The bathroom was a bit small but the shower was fairly large (great for rinsing dive gear). The front desk clerk does not show up until 7 or 7:30 in the morning and the phone system is less than modern so when our dive operator tried to call us she had a hard time getting through to our room. The dive operator was also treated very rudely by whoever answers the phone before 7am. When she asked to be transferred to our room, she was actually told NO!

      There is a small spa pool (cool water, not a hot tub per se), but there aren't any sunbeds.

      We all were extremely satisfied w/ our ocean view rooms (303). The staff was friendly, water was hot and pressure was excellent! The mini fridge was very handy to keep water and beer cold, or left-overs from Primas! The rooms are clean and decorated tastefully.

      At $84/night, the hotel represents a nice value in the heart of central Cozumel. I made the mistake of taking a water view room that was right on the main drag. I asked the attendant for a room switch and the quickly & courteously accommodated me to a back room. This room turned out to be perfectly quiet with a nice balcony and 2 rooms (which I didn't need being solo on this trip). I was staying there for a quick 4 days of diving (Dive With Martin - excellent operator) and the hotel served my purpose being right downtown, easy no-car access to everything, just took taxi's to the pier for my diving.

      Bus stop is a block away from where the ferry drops you off - and there are little taco stands by the pier where great fresh tacos are about 8 pesos each (a great way to save on lunch). Hotel staff is friendly, and even timed out our wake up time after a couple of days so that they could bring breakfast without us calling.

      I elected to stay with the same room despite the noise for the view (I live in the city and can sleep through anything). Staff is very friendly, and the location is great for shopping, dining, etc. Great showers - good water pressure/hot water.

      Great hotel, great location, great ocean view, very clean room and friendly people. Don't forget to bring your own hairdryer and coffee maker because they don't offer in every room.

      Don't expect that you can take a steamy hot shower because the water is not hot enough to do so.
