Vincci Soho Madrid - 马德里

The Vincci Soho is located on a small, quiet street 5 minutes' walk from the Thyssen, 10 minutes' walk from the Prado, and 12 minutes to the Reina Sophia--superb location, yet very quiet for this area.

The location is perfect you wish to do a lot off sight-seeing and the hotel is situated in central Madrid on a surprisingly quiet street corner.

Also, when we were leaving, we asked for a taxi to be called for us, and were told that taxis would not come to that hotel because of the narrow street.

The only reasonably helpful person was a young boy who got us a taxi and helped out with our bag and explained to the driver that we needed to go to the airport.

The rooms are somewhat dark, and the lightening in the bathrooms is terrible (if you're a woman, doing your make-up is almost impossible in those light conditions), and there is no mirror in the room, only in the bathroom.

The room was fantastic - very comfortable bed (fairly firm), good pillows, air con etc.

I ate twice (breakfast, dinner) in the hotel's restaurant, which had an excellent selection, and the food was excellent if a bit pricey.

Whilst we only had drinks in the hotel bar (and didn't eat in the restaurant) the decor is lovely, very modern yet cozy and the service was brilliant.

There was also a very comfy bar/lounge in the hotel along with a fancy, but overpriced restaurant that we never tried.

Lobby and area leading to lifts was dark, cool and quite trendy with the Restaurant to the right and Bar/Lounge to the left.

Not cheap but there was literally everything you could possibly want for breakfast there and the restaurant felt very 'luxy'.

The room (on the 4th floor) was of adequate size, was lovely and clean with a nice decor and felt like we were the first people to stay there.

The room was a reasonable size with all the modern conveniences and was also very clean.

The room interior is very smart and it is clear that alot of time and effort has been put into selecting the decor.

The hotel and rooms are clean and decent sized.
