Vincci Puerto Chico Santander - 桑坦德

Situated on the harbour front of Puertochico, it's the perfect equidistant location from the beachy part of town (Sardinero etc) and the old city (the most atmospheric part of Santander, where the historic buildings and best places to eat are).

Fantastic location overlooking the marina and lovely recliner chair in the bay window.

The location of the Puertochico was excellent and the hotel room was vey clean.

Location of Hotel is A1 for "doing" the downtown area and for catching the bus to the Sardinerio beach area.

The bus stop is just outside the front door, one euro will get you to the town centre and 2 euros to the beach.

The bathroom was spotless and the room was of very high quality overall with flat screen Tv and lovely recliner chair in the bay window.

Large bed and drinks prices very reasonable on the terrace.

If I had a choice I would have picked a sea view room as the rooms at the back of the hotel have a very ordinary view.

We had a lovely room with marina views, for which extra is paid, but I think that the other rooms would be a great disappointment.

The room was modern and clean and there were a whole stack of toiletries available in the bathroom.

There are cafes nearby for breakfast and snacks and the main area for shops and restaurants is only a 5 -10 minute walk , which is very beautiful in any case, as the view all the way is of the sea and mountains.

There is a wonderful chocolate shop just next door which serves continental breakfasts as well as hot chocolate drinks and any variety of exotic handmade chocolates, and many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.

Very well positioned for shops, stylish town and good hotel - good location - staff helpful - the only negative is the price of the breakfast.

Breakfast at 12 euros was rather steep but the choice and quality of the food was excellent.

The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the city and it's a short stroll to the many lovely shops, restaurants and bars and a 15 minute walk to the beach.

The staff at reception could not have been more helpful or gracious and are adept at advising on clear directions as to places to visit.

As other reviews have said the reception staff are very friendly and happy to help.

Reception staff speak "Spanglish" which was replaced by fluent castillian spanish once they realised I could "Hablo Espanol".
