Villa La Vedetta Florence - 佛罗伦萨

Its a great location for the view BUT if you're wanting to explore the centre of florence then you'd be a lot better located in the centre.

Villa La Vedetta leaves you feeling as if you are situated in the best possible location for your visit!

We found this hotel in the Relais & Chateaux web site and, as we were looking for a nice, charming and quiet location, we thought Villa la Vedetta would meet our requirements.

There is a bus stop outside the hotel to go into the city or a taxi costs about 15 euros.

Arriving at Florence train station from Pisa, we took a taxi ride to the hotel and drove up a lovely tree filled avenue and pulled into the drive.

We had reserved a suite with view and were very pleased with the room we were given: really stunning, immaculate and beautifully appointed, with a good sized marble bathroom and Jacuzzi tub.

The hotel itself is pure luxury ,beautifully appointed rooms(all in different styles) with everything you could require,huge comfortable beds ,fabulous bathrooms,lots of hanging space ,tv,internet,et etc etc.

The rooms were simply luxurious; bed, towels, accessories were all excellent and we could have a complete view of the city.

Our room was out of this world, it had a superb bed and lounge area with a huge balcony over the gardens, not that we needed then we had to flat screen tvs and fun wardrobes!

Our room was really lovely - luckily we were upgraded to a suite but I think all the rooms would have been good.

The mini bars are expensive as is the in house restaurant and bar so we asked reception to recommend a restaurant in the city to try and they happily obliged.

If you must have them, please relocate the restaurant up there and move it away from the small bar area.

We had a quick lunch at the hotel and the food seemed to be excellent - I regret not having had dinner in their restaurant.

Deciding whether to stay in and eat in the villa (Onice restaurant is simply fantastic) or to go a short taxi ride for a meal in downtown Florence where you have an infinity of choices.

Having heard great things about their restaurant "Onice", we were eager to eat there at least once and, again, we were not disappointed: the food was incredible, beautifully presented and with great service.

We used the car service to go down to the main part of Florence and the front desk handled our train reservations for the next leg of our trip.

Over all- the staff, the service, the rooms, the grounds, the aura, the location.

The service at the hotel was phenomenal, with great attention to detail and a truly multi-lingual staff.

The reception staff is really kind will help you plan the day in Florence.

The hotel has the most amazing view over Florence from the terrace, unfortunately the outdoor pool and jacuzzi weren't on but it was Feb!

We did not venture into the city centre initially, preferring to enjoy the stunning swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The pool and jacuzzi and general pool area are beautiful, and the main selling point of the hotel.

The rooms are tasteful and distinctive, and were always spotless.

The staff was super friendly, the room was outstanding and clean.

The room was spotless and comfortable, and smelled faintly of azaleas.

The bathroom was roomy by Italian standards, and very clean.

Knowing when to clean your room, when to chat and make sure all is ok while giving you privacy also.
