For us the location was perfect - just a bit out of the city in a quiet corner right on the Arno.

The views and location on the river are very romantic.

Early afternoon we arrived in the hotel by bus (bus no 33 from the railways station SMN and then the local bus no 48 connecting in Bagno di Ripoli).

Wheelchair didn't fit thu doorway or room,switched rooms to a "handicap room" but wheelchair didn't fit thru doorway of bathroom so hubby had to switch chairs every time he needed to go.

Service is friendly, lots of goodies in the bathroom as well as a separate dressing room and the restaurant is marvelous.

The pool was quite small and had ladders in rather than steps also I feel it was on the terrace in a rather unusual place rather than with the sun loungers in a quieter spot.

Also if you happen to have a spare helicopter theres parking for that too in a field attached to the herb garden.

The second evening was not so good as the hotel had failed to advise us of the private event they were hosting for 100 which meant the pool area and terrace were out of bounds for residents for much of the day.
