Villa Di Piazzano Cortona - 哥尔顿

With it’s own private patio and garden furniture you could not choose a better location to watch the sun go down with a bottle of the local Vino.

We found the hotel to be in a centralized location.

The location is great, literally on the border between Umbria and Tuscany.

The pool is set in a stunning location surrounded by the Tuscan hills.

We did not have a car so we asked, and they arranged, for a taxi to meet us at the train station.

We were in a junior suite and had a huge king size canopy bed with two windows overlooking the garden.

Our room was fantastic- very large and airy, beautifally decorated and with a huge bed.

Our room was great with a four poster bed and plenty of room to relax.

Bed was comfortable and our window looked out onto a beautiful landscape.

Our room was beyond huge (decorated beautifully and with a totally modern bathroom), the breakfasts were generous and delicious, and the grounds were serene.

We didn't eat dinner there because every morning after breakfast we would take off in the car and come home late at night.

Breakfasts and dinners (optional) in the VdP's dining room were always delicious and beautifully served.

Owners and staff speak great English and are very knowledgeable in helping you decide what other restaurants to eat at and places to go see and things to do.

On the Tuesday we had a cooking lesson and saw the kitchen and also how they prepare the food and we realized how much preparation goes into their cuisine.

We chose this location mainly for the restaurant since we wanted to just relax rather than having to drive around each night searching for a place to eat.

The restaurant is excellent and the staff at the front desk are very freindly.

The TV reception was lousy and you couldn't get the BBC World Service (a minor point, I know, but they claimed you could get it, so it was annoying.

The friendly staff at the front desk were knowledgeable about sightseeing and local shopping, and most helpful.

The staff are extremely helpful and one girl in particular (on the front desk from Naples) was a star!

Our room was a separate stone cottage in the garden near the large swimming pool and below the main house.

We too stayed in the Garden Cottage set in it’s own grounds in the gardens down beyond the grassed pool area and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We got the Garden Cottage (or junior suite by the hotel's definition) out by the pool area, which is away from the main building and has a separate patio with table and seats for relaxing.

Everything was very clean and the room was so italian and charming.

Sound nights asleep in rooms that are spacious, clean & bright unlike most places around.

The turn-down service in the evening ensured the beds were always tidy - a plus with children.

The main rooms are extremely nice, and breakfast on the terrace lovely - but no muesli, and no fresh orange juice.
