The location is NOT central, but after check-in we took a single bus to dowtown and foud it very easy.
The only problem is the hotel location, next to the National Gallery/Royal Palace of Capodimonte, approximately 1 1/2 mile uphill from the downtown area.
Depending upon your point of view the hotel location is either good or bad.
We had an early flight out of the Naples airport and spent the night in this hotel.
If you are looking for a quiet, clean place to stay near the airport, I recommend this hotel.
Pretty ordinary faded decor, out-dated furnishings in the rooms, basic slightly uncomfortable bed, etc.
L'hotel Villa Capodimonte è un Luxury 5 stelle and nice bed.
The Executive room we had booked had two good double beds.
Our room was very big, very clean and with a fabulous bathroom.
The bedroom was large & clean, although the bathroom (as in so many slightly older Italian hotels) was on the 'just adequate' size.
We ate dinner in the restaurant, which was good, although the wine was a bit expensive.
The restaurant is very good as well, with a large choice of dishes that changes according to the season.

The hotel grounds are a lovely garden that we walked in after our meal.

It's a recent building with large garden grounds, private parking, and an underground garage.
Don't worry about your car because the hotel has a private parking protected by a high gate and even a garage.
The common areas are well appointed and the hotel's only merit is cheap internet access.
