Villa Angela - Taormina

In a brilliant location, excellent restaurants just 5 minutes away in town and this was the best hotel we stayed in during our tour by far.

The location is fantastic, this hotel is a must you are looking for a bit of luxury and the staff is very nice.

Firstly, the hotel location and views were fabulous.

This saved us a lot of money in taxis too as since the hotel is quite high above the town and it's all one steep winding hill, there's no way you'd want to do this on foot in summer.

The shuttle bus was a God send and free of charge; taxis are quite expensive.

We stayed for one week from 22nd - 29th June and were lucky enough to stay in the Leonardo Suite, the suite is beautiful with fantastic views (as do all the rooms) and the most georgeous bathroom with jacuzzi bath.

We had a Superior De Luxe - these rooms are ok but not very de luxe - the bath had mould around the edge and leaked - the room maids forgot something every day - usually to replace the towels or similar which was a bit of a nuisance.

The service good, modern bathroom and i also loved our romantic four poster wrought iron bed.

We booked a De-Luxe room which had the biggest terrace we have ever had in a hotel and the bedroom was roomy and spotlessly clean with good quality furnishings as was the bathroom.

A very comfortable bed and nice covered terrace.

For a good drink go to the Q lounge bar, breakfast is excellent.

The breakfast selection was splendid, but they do not offer a hot meal in the evening, but as there are so many good restaurants in the area this wasn't a problem at all.

All the restaurants we went to were good, but Saracenos' just up the hill from the Hotel is brilliant, Alfio the owner, is a great host and the food is superb, combined with the view makes this restaurant a must.

The hotel's restaurant was only used for breakfast and lunch when we were there.

This restaurant offers pure Sicilian cuisine.

Best of all, though, are the staff – without doubt the best service I've ever come accross.

The high quality toiletries, at home by the fantastic VA staff and the standard of service throughout is exceptional.

Is located in a quiet area of Taormina, hotel Villa Angela is a brilliant hotel and the staff are attentive to every need from reception to the pool lad.

Had wonderful views of Etna, the hotel staff made my staying really pleasant and the service was excellent.

There is absolutely no parking in the town so you have to go down on the hotel shuttle and then catch it back up at scheduled times a taxi ride is about 15 euros.

There was a punctual shuttle service available on a fixed schedule, our room was lovely and the outside terrace was spacious.

The rooms were very spacious together with very spacious terrace overlooking the pool (as all the rooms do) and the amazing view of Mount Etna and Naxos Bay.

The personnel at Villa Angela is extremely nice, the rooms are clean.

The rooms were also exceptionally clean, the breakfasts were excellent.

The rooms are clean and the breakfast is lovely.

The views are stunning, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable without being fussy and the standard of service throughout is exceptional.

Our room was lovely, spotless, and the private balcony enormous (great to sit out on at the end of the day with a glass of prosecco, perfect)!
