Villa Alessandra (75017) Paris - 巴黎

The location of the hotel is great, nice area, close to shops, resturants and a metro station, it is located in a small square it is the full authentic French experince.

Bottom line: aside from the theft problem, I was pleased with the room and the hotel location, and I didn't let the situation ruin my visit, but I would not recommend Villa Alessandra to anyone because of its lack of security.

We stayed here a total of five times because we enjoyed the ambiance and the location.

There are two Metro stations within easy walking distance, and they can take you anywhere.

Very close to the Champ Elisee and Triumph Arch, the best metro station is Ternes in a nice Ternes Ave.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything you need and plenty of hot water-despite what I'd read from other reviewers.

We were moved to another room where the bed had not been made and on reporting this to reception was given the bedding and asked to make it ourselves.

As described by other reviewers the rooms are small but are clean and bright with a comfortable double bed.

Second night we were moved to the suite - which was OK - a small sitting room with standard size bedroom.

The bad thing about having some food brought into the room was that there was no place to eat, except by holding the food on our laps while sitting on the bed.

Staff was very welcoming, breakfast was of good quality eventhough the restaurant was underground.

We enjoyed the location - buying breakfast food at the market and eating it in the courtyard at the back of the hotel.

We thought that the breakfast at 18 euros was overpriced so never did not eat at the hotel.

Also dinner/lunch at Jules Verne restaurant at Eiffel Tower but need to book 3+ months in advance.

The rest of the desk top area was occupied with food & bar menus (which we couldn't get due to no room service on Friday & Saturday), hotel snacks at highway robbery prices, and glasses.

The other front desk staff members were equally friendly and helpful, and all spoke English.

Oh and no room service (despite the menus) on any of our visits - instead the reception gives you a takeaway selection when you have to wait for over an hour for a chinese - not really a good advert for the city of romance and gastonomie!

Hotel staff were ok but we had to ask a few times to get an iron once (none in the room) and after waiting for half an hour I went out to find the receptionist having a chat and cigarette with her friend.

nice and staff was very accomodating and polite.

We took the Air France shuttle from CDG, and were dropped off right near the Arc de Triomphe, a few short blocks from the hotel.

As we walked from the shuttle stop to the hotel (5 minutes or so), we were delighted to find that it is located right around the corner from a local outdoor market.

If someone talks in the lobby at night, you will hear everyword.

Christmas break, we were given a good sized (very clean) room overlooking the small square, typical Provençal style in furnishings, flooring & decoration.

The rooms were decidedly poky and not especially clean.

The rooms are ok, clean a reasonable size (This is Paris after all, dont expect large rooms for under €500).
