The location is perfect: near to the city center but situated in a quiet and peaceful area.
I think the reviews for the Vila Branca are very fair - it is a good value, spacious and clean enviornment - in a good location with two big pools and plenty to do.
All previous reviews greatly assisted and we were not dissapointed with the location or the apartments.
After we had been in town most people get a taxi back to the apartments, the queue can eb quite long, but dont worry, it goes down fast, there are always taxis available!
Complex provided a free bus service several times a day to center of Lagos, taxi fare back was 4 euro.
Our appartment had one bedroom with twin beds and lots of storage space, and a camp bed in the living room (apparently comfortable).
2 bedroom appartment was excellent - spacious, air conditioned, on-suite bathroom in our room, ate outside on our sun terrace for every meal.
We stayed in a two bedroom/ two bathroom apartment with a large living room and a balcony which extended the length of the apartment and was furnished with seating, a table an a parasol.
And my daughter has a small bed in the living room, but that was fine because she got to watch the tv!
Towels and bed linin are changed 2 times each week and the rooms are cleaned everyday.
The restaurant serve a lovely meal and very reasonable and then a lovely bar and lounge for a night cap and a bit of relaxation.
Lunch was good and the selection was varied from salads to hamburgers (you could actually have these for breakfast as well if you wished) and in the evening the hotel has it's own restaurant which has many varied dishes.
The food at the restaurant was very good, comparable with other restaurants.
The bar restaurant was lovely and clean, staff terrific and food excellant.
We didn’t eat in the restaurant but did visit the bar in the evening, pleasant but quiet, then again it was late April.
All the staff, without exception, were pleasant and helpful, particularly those on reception.

We were most impressed with the staff, specifically Danielle at the reception - she went out of her way to assist us with our vacation (including hellping us research airlines!
Reception was helpful and the receptionist showed us to our rooms very quickly.
This might not affect people staying more centrally in the complex (around the pool area).
There was never a problem finding a sunbed and the pool area and gardens were beautifully kept.
We have two young children and they enjoyed the children's pool in the "blue block" immensely.
What can you say, superb apartments, clean tidy and MASSIVE.
The apartments are clean and tidy and have every thing you need for a selfcaterig holiday if you wish - but Lagos has such a wide choice of restaurants it is a shame not to try them.
The apartment was spacious, clean and very well equipped.
The swimming pools were lovely and clean, and there were plenty of sun-beds for everyone.
