Lovely hotel, well located. Staff were very friendly.

We avoided food in the hotel as the prices seemed rediculous - £16.50 for a full english breakfast.

        Location excellent.Staff very helpful.

Restaurant facilities.Bar menu very poor - lounge not conducive to bar snacking.Rstaurant very overpriced. Encouraged to order from set menus which were expensive.

Good location for our office in centre of Newcastle. Free internet.

Breakfast is highly overpriced, particularly the buffet, which has very little fruit selection and slow service.

The location is very good with an exit onto the vibrant Quayside and 5 minutes walk from the main entrance to Central Station which is the main transport hub with a direct metro ride to the airport. I chose it because it is 5 mins walk across the high level bridge to my conference venue (the Hilton Gateshead which was twice the price). The Vermontt also offers free WIFI which was decent quality and meant I could really get some work done.

The hotel's decor is dated and doesn't feel very clean. Breakfast was adequate but expensive and the staff were polite but not very helpful. The hotel offers iPod docking stations but none were available when I enquired. I also asked to borrow an umbrella the next morning but they'd run out. It feels more like a decent 3star hotel rather than a four star.

leaving it! Good location. Pleasant porter.

Worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in. Tiny double room. Dark, depressing with no view from very small window. No cover on duvet. Room not ready an hour after check in time. Unhelpful reception staff.

The location. the towels were gorgeous.

he building is beautiful, shame about the rooms! It looked lovely on arrival, but the rooms need updating badly. It wasn't value for money. Breakfast wasn't included in the price. on pulling the quilt back, I was disappointed to find the quilt didn't have a cover on it! I wouldn't stay there again.

The hotel is excellent located with friendly staff. Room was facing the famous old Keep built in 11th century and Tyne with bridges. Very nice.

Rediculously expensive breakfast (not included in a room price) for £14.50 (continental) or £16.50 (full English). Could hardly open the window as the noise from the trains was too bad. No conditioners, very hot inside.

The staff were helpful, polite and prepared our room early for no charge as we needed to get changed for a wedding on our arrival in Newcastle. The room was clean, comfy bed with good en-suite with powerful shower. We would recommend the Vermont without hesitation.
