Compared to the prices of hotels in Amsterdam and near Schiphol the cost of €94.
Failing to find suitable accomodation at a reasonable price we decided to choose the neighbouring city of Haarlem and took a punt on the Van Der Valk hotel and one of its jacuzzi suites.
Schiphol airport in the other direction and the hotel offers good quality for its price.
Very busy hotel, well worth the price and the staff were all very friendly.
The location was great for visiting Haarlem not in a busy area and this hotel had a super nice bathtub.
The only downside apart from the exterior looks is the location.
The VVV adjacent to Haarlem Centraal station was helpful, the location was good as we could walk into the city and my event was held in the hotel.
Overall, I found that this hotel was a gem that wasn't necessarily on the beaten path but transport to the hotel and then from the hotel to the airport could not have been more convenient.
The VVV adjacent to Haarlem Centraal station was helpful with figuring out bus routes to the hotel and also to the Keukenhof flower attraction in nearby Lisse.
This hotel had a super nice bathtub, large bathroom, and a even a hair dryer.
Comfortable bed and good breakfast buffet.
We also stayed in the jaccuzi suite once for 150 euro, a very large and good room with jaccuzi and waterbed, great!
Staff were attentive and helpful, the room ,although a little on the hot side in August and no A/C, was clean, well equipped and had a large, luxurious bathroom.
The bed was comfortable, the food was good.
The breakfasts were brilliant although service in the restaurant on the one evening I ate there was not good.
The breakfast buffet is also one of the best breakfasts in the hotel branch, most of the staff are polite and the room we had is luxurious.
Famous in the Netherlands as a hotel/restaurant chains, very helpful staff at the reception and we chose breakfast in the room was just fantastic.
We had some good experiences -- a great breakfast buffet, wonderful dinner for a hotel restaurant, & one helpful staffer who got us set up with bikes.
The food was good, and breakfast the same on each morning, but we only stayed two nights so not a problem.
The greeting at the front desk -reception was extremely professional, check-in was quick and easy, the room was larger than I expected.
Hotel were very clean and the staff at the front desk was very helpful.
Even after talking to the manager - Ms Miranda, she told me that unless she sees the items at the front desk, she will not cancel the charges from my credit card.

Lots of car parking and easy to get into Amsterdam - we took the bus (from outside hotel) number 300 to Haarlam Station and caught the train into Amsterdam central, The buses and trains run regularly and theservice cheap and reliable.
The gym was professional there is a charge for.
After getting settled a bit, I returned to the lobby and purchased a KPN Prepaid Internet card for €10.
Hotel was located just outside of downtown Haarlem, staff were attentive and helpful, the room was very clean.
It was clean and had a nice patio accessible from the rooms.
The hotel decor is very pleasant, bathroom is new and clean.
The rooms were large, and clean, but very hot.
