Editorial review

The tall glass building that houses the hotel Urban is very hip and cool. It has clean lines and original artwork from Africa and Asia, with a small museum of Egyptian art in the basement. It’s a fresh change from other classic five-star Madrid hotels. There are dark wood floors and dark walls offset by plenty of light. The bathrooms are well appointed, with designer fittings. The roof houses one of Madrid’s best swimming pools. The terrace is delightful and beautiful on a summer evening. Rooms are on the pricey side, however.

The Urban G.L Hotel is situated in the centre of Madrid next to the Puerta del Sol. It is also close to Plaza de las Cortes, Museo Thyssen, the Retiro Park and other famous local attractions in this tourist, shopping and financial center.

The 4-star avant-garde hotel was opened in 2004, decorated in a contemporary and stylish design.

Very convenient location to enjoy walking to any district in the city and the decor is fabulous. The staff is very attentive and polite.
