This sandstone palace was completed in 1943 and is named for the grandfather of the current Maharaja of Jodhpur. The rooms and suites have historic artwork, terraces, and views of the grounds and courtyards. Guests can enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools, a Jiva spa with traditional Indian treatments, two restaurants, a bar, a business center, and an astrologer.

The Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel is located among luxuriant gardens in the desert capital of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India, close to the Mehrangarh Museum, the Veer Durgadas Smarak and Sardar Samand Lake.

This five-star property is housed in a golden-yellow sandstone Indian palace decorated in the world class art deco and fashionable Rajasthan style. An excellent centre for touring Rajasthan, a real palace converted into a luxury hotel and the Umaid Bhawan Palace is magnificent building.

A great museum in the palace, Jodhpur is one of the best Indian towns we have visited and the park of such a large area is out of one's thinking. This hotel is amazing and the building is impressive. The service is also good and the renovated rooms are large, luxurious and very well appointed. Maybe the food has improved and dinner on the terrace at night is beautiful.

Outside view from the window was amazing and local musicians played and was a very romantic setting. The suite inside was great and the Indian restaurant was the only one we ate at, was superb.
