The staff is very friendly; the rooms look just like in the pics; large and comfortable. Good bathroom. It's a convenient location, short taxi ride from the airport shuttle station; close to Long Stree and all the Centre of Cape Town. Very near the gay village (for who is into that). Walk to Waterfront in about 30 minutes. So great location for shopping, dining, night-life; and as in all Cape Town very easy to get a mini-bus to the beaches or train station. I stayed there on 2 occasions: my first and last 2 nights. So, have a mostly positive opinion about the place.
There is no free wi-fi (although for R40 you get 100MB, which goes a long way). The first morning the cleaner just tried to enter the room while I slept and they dont have "do not disturb" signs, so I had to make one myself for the further mornings. (that said, I am very positively impressed that after I left in the afternoon they came in and made up the room) . The 1st room didnt have the aircondition functioning (but i didnt complain). The 2nd room didnt have the power point in the bathroom working (but I also didnt complain).

Location
No parking. No porter to receive our bags. Asked 3 times to have towels brought to my room to shower and they never arrived during the 2 day stay.

Its a budget hotel
There are no parking facilities inside the hotel, anyone who stays in the hotel needs to search for parking place nearby. Also to park outside the hotel premises is not safe.

The advertisement/piuctures of the hotel is not the same as the physical being of the hotel. The toilet and shower was squashed together, the aircon placed at the bottom of the window. Also, a bad smell in the shower + toilet, probably coming from the pipes.
I only slept at the hotel. Booking. com did not get the hotel to transact the payment from my credit card. This is an inconvenience as I check my statements every two months. Hence, money I put asied for this was spent prior to my holiday!

It is an absolutely ok place to stay: clean room (mine had a beautiful view of Table Mountain), good location (central, about 15 minutes’ walk from the v&a Waterfront), and a simple but ok breakfast. My room (704) had a weird bathroom, small and with a sliding door that ensured zero privacy. Not a problem if you are alone, but if you are not, try to get another room (such as the “01s”) which have a normal bathroom, with a normal door.
The one thing that I did not like was the price for wireless connectivity: besides being available only at the lobby, the hotel charges zar60 per ½ hour, which is almost £6. At St. George’s Mall, a pedestrian street a few blocks from the hotel, you will find internet places charging zar5 per one hour (yes, that is right, 24 times cheaper).

Friendly and helpful staff. Good beer deals at the bar. Central location
The shower though worked fine , leaked all over the floor, which became slippery. THe fact that staff had removed and not replaced the shower certain did not help the situation

Friendly and helpful staff. 20 min walk to waterfront and shopping/restaurants/bars. 5-15 mins to arcades, city shopping, museums and gardens. Intimate and friendly bar. Red hop on hop off bus stops nearby. One internet computer available for use.
Facilities ok but a little tired. Lifts slow. Be aware of which nearby streets are safe to go down at night. (Staff helpful here). Safe in room did not work but a downstairs safe was available- had no concerns with integrity of staff.

Very central location in the Cape Town city bowl, near to good restaurants and shops.
No onsite parking, very poor standard of room, unclean, limited service, breakfast not great. It was cheap but a bed and breakfast for the same price would have been a better option and quality of accomodation. This is really a budget/back packer standard of hotel.

It is located in the city centre, therefore close to the shops, cticc and public transport. They reminded their guests about their bookings prior to their arrival.

struggling to think of anything
bathroom was dirty, the shower curtains had not been cleaned. floor was dirty and the bath was hideous. There was not even a remote control for the tv. I would not stay at the hotel again. Especially when it costs R600 a night you expect a better service

Fantastic staff and walking distance from cticc.
Pretty run down and poor water pressure in the shower. Many other places around at better quality for similar price.

Liked the fact that it is centrally located in Cape Town, within walking distance to the city centre and shopping mall down the road. Not too far from Waterfront. Reception staff very helful with cabs and general information.
It would be great if the hotel had a room service for snacks like sandwiches, tea, coffee up to a certain time at night.. More tea bags and coffee in the room which were available on arrival only.None after that.
