Tropicana Garden Palms

Our room was 5118 by the smaller pool and we literally walked straight out of the patio door onto a small terrace right next to the pool (didn't pay any extra for this) - a brill location and the best room position i have ever had at a resort.

It’s in a convenient location - central and near to Naama Bay and Gaffy Beach.

As the location was so good, we spent a lot of time eating out in Naama Bay and checking out the sights.

We took a taxi rather than the arranged transfers as its so close to the airport and then we didn’t have to wait for everyone else and stop at every hotel on the way!

To be honest we used the hotel taxi as much as the shuttle bus as it's only £2.

The room was massive, we had a huge queen size bed and a sofa and all the usual bits and bobs and a spacious bathroom.

The room was extremely large with a queen sized bed and you could have got another 2 double beds in it if you wanted!

The hotel consisted of ground and first floors only, we were allocated ground floor room with double bed that was the biggest I've ever seen, with small terrace and table and chairs, the bathroom was very good and clean with good overbath shower.

The rooms were kept immaculate by rrom service and was lovely to return each day to a neatly made bed with fresh sheets and towels.

Rooms - The room was of a good size, nice view of the gardens, TV and good bathroom.

Food, there are two restaurants, the main one for breakfast, lunch and evening meal and the other an Italian, which you can use once during your stay.

There are snacks by the pool if you miss breakfast (as we often did) and the air conditioned restaurant is a welcome relief from the heat at lunch time.

You take your towels from your hotel to the pool, and can use all inclusive here (drinks at beach bar, lunch in the buffet restaurant).

There are a couple of great restaurants we tried in Naama bay, one is at the top of the main streets (opposite the Panorama Bar) and it does Thai, Chinese, Indian and Japanese food.

To be honest we didnt eat breakfast much as we didnt get up in time, but lunch and evening meals are really nice but we decided to eat out afew times.

The staff from top to bottom are 1st class reception aways efficient, rooms always spotless and the things they create from the blankets need to be seen to be believed and the service offered in the bars and restuarant was excellent.

The waiters and reception staff are also very friendly.

The staff couldn't be more helpful - a small tip ensured really excellent service an example being our pool boy Ahmed who made sure we always had the same beds in the sun and our pool waiter was never far away when we needed a drink.

We also advised reception that the patio door would not lock and it was seen to within 5 mins - excellent service.

The hotel entertainment is poor and consists of dancing and entertainers but only lasts about 1/2 hour to 1 hour and is followed by a disco or you can sit in the lobby bar or up on the terrace bar which has a pool table.

There is also a health club, where they have a free fitness center, massage and sauna.

Music did start at 10 everyday which could sometimes be quite loud but it did keep us entertained by the pool, the did water polo in the quieter pool and water gym in the big pool.

This hotel was spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was kept clean.

The staff are wonderful and the rooms are clean and tidy.

The pools were excellent, the rooms were large, comfortable and very clean, all with air-con.

The hotel was really nice, rooms were of generous size and spotless thanks to mohammed who came and cleaned every single day despite a few lazy lie-ins.

The men who cleaned our room did a fantastic job, they clean everywhere you could think of, even inside the fridge.
