The hotel is clean, the prices are very reasonable and decoration is a little bit old.
We stayed at the hotel this time for three nights and got a good price for B&B from a German hotel booking website (58 euros a night).
The whole village is beautiful, also not too far from Malaga Airport you have an early flight and the hotel is at a quiet location Favourable price.
Situated in a small beautiful mountain village and location perfect.
The hotel is in a fantatsic location very close to the village and an ideal location for a base away from the hustle and bustle of main stream costa del sol.
The location is beautiful, short walk into Mijas village and the best restaurant that we can recommend nearby is 'El Puerto.
We didnt have a car and got around very easily by foot, bus or taxi.
The cost of the taxi from Malaga airport to the Mijas hotel was 30 euros.
The room we had was on level one and nicely furnished with a small patio which was ideal however I noticed that some rooms had a very small balcony and were not suitable for sitting out.
Our room, although not large, was more than adequate, with plenty storage, a large very clean bathroom.
We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis and found the food selection excellent.
If you are happy with very bland and overcooked food then go half board but if not I reccomend bed and breakfast.
However our son had to sleep on a camp bed in the corner which had to be packed away each morning to gain access to the wardrobe.
We ate out every lunchtime and evening and had breakfast by the pool every morning so cannot really comment on the food or service in the restaurant.
Room was clean and nice, the restaurant was absolutely fine breakfast was great.
The rooms comfortable, some reviews complained about the bar costs being high and breakfast was a good choice.
The room was adequate, bar snaks were fine and the breakfast choice was superb.
The terrace bar is really nice, the only small criticism I would make is that the towels they provided were very small and breakfast better than some reviews suggest.
The reception staff appeared to be totally disinterested on check-in and also subsequently when asking for other services.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly, from reception desk to maids and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we'd experienced at any hotel we have ever stayed in.
The barman and reception staff were the same and generally pleasant and helpful although there was a waitress in the restaurant who was brusque.
Location in village Friendly helpful staff Views Pool facilities, lovely setting and all Services Were Very Good.
The 9 euros per day car parking fee is not an issue as one just parks in the streets nearby the hotel.
The hotel has a good pool and a small spa plus tennis courts.
Facilities are very good though some have been withdrawn since the hotel was taken over recently [massage,hairdresser,gym, health and beauty ,sauna ect] Hotel and rooms always very clean and tidey.
The room was clean and quiet, the hot food was overcooked.
The position of the hotel is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful, pool are first class the rooms are clean and comfortable.
This hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms being cleaned to a high standard every day.
Some of the older rooms in other parts of the hotel are more traditional "oldie worldie" Andalucian style, and may or may not have a balcony, they are however, still clean and perfectly acceptable.
Both the common areas and our room were extremely clean.
